But my hubby just had an infusion of Remicaid and I’m wondering how we’re gonna pay for that….oh well, life goes on for the working poor. I’ve not gotten into clay, wire or metalsmithing. Beads and thread (and stringing wire) are plenty ‘spensive as it is.

I have gotten some polymer beeds in my lots purchased on eBay. I use them to make people necklaces.

Loom Beading? Love it! Did an eagle for an Eagle Scout’s gift. Since I got bifocals, it’s harder, but it’s my preferred beading technique.

Been trying to get myself geared up to making a beaded purse.

The only reason I use poly clay is because the beads I want are too expensive or look like everyone else’s stuff.

Metalsmithing is not so attractive to me. My skin kills silver, and gold costs.

What I really want to try is fused glass work.

In our place, only four bells per day–once before each time of community prayer. Well, occasionally for another meeting or meal or something. But they do keep us together in the life.

Edit: and one thing about monasteries: we learn the length of the five minute period between bell and prayer. Only from monastics have I heard, “Five minutes? Oh, lots of time.”

Terry - I’m glad they are on DVD now, like a lot of other great shows from earlier decades. We borrowed one from the library before buying any, just so the boys could see what the show was like. They’ve certainly watched them enough times, to make it worthwhile buying them. Since we don’t have cable, satellite, or digital, anything played on the tv is DVD or VHS.

Carmy yes the refs called some bad ones against the Vikings. I was beginning to wonder whose side they were on. Wouldn’t be the first time. That happened before back some years ago. A ref got canned and fined because they discovered he was being paid off. No matter, what’s done is done.
