Green eggs and ham, green grits, green potatoes, etc. etc.
Nuclear coffee, CocoMocha, Lattes and Cappuccinos.
Assorted juices and Milk, plain, chocolate or strawberry.
O’Grog, Thanks. I didn’t want to be looking at the Chicago River while I was drinking green beer. LOL
I’ve seen all of my faves that are visible so far. About a 1/4 of them I guess. As soon as we think we have seen it all, they find something new to amuse us!
Yes, Lonewolf. I gotta say there’s some improvement, but there’s still strips I’m missing. I’ve even lost one that I saw last night. At least my e-mail has most of them, but there are still blanks there.
JAD was right. I’m still getting WTP and Dinette Set in my e-mail. ???
Grog, I don’t have any sent to my email. My email is busy enough without the comics being sent. I have a home page set up here with all my faves on it, so that’s good for me. Do you get the actual strips with WTP & The Dinette Set?
Lonewolf, for me sometimes, e-mail is a good back up system. Admittedly though, yesterday I deleted it without reading, but not today.
The e-mail comes through pretty much the same as it does on the web page, with a button on the bar below to add a comment. So WTP & TDS look the same as the others.
Can’t see this comic yet (among many others) but I’ll respond to those who offered the Top o’the morning by saying and the rest o’ the day to you good sirs and mesdammes.

I checked my email this am to see if I could get any strips, more were up in my email then on here, but anyway, I still am getting The Dinette Set and WTP. Can’t hit add comment, or go to the sight, but they are still in there.

Yikes. I’ve got nothing green in the back of the fridge, but I’ve got some greens in the vegitable bin that are supposed to be green. They’ll be eaten or disposed of before the turn brown
O’Blimey! It’s o’hard work to read all me o’comics! I normally read much much more than I comment on. I’m having to click on all the ones I can’t see from my page so I can see them. Sometimes I have to click on the “enlarge.” I think I’m more than halfway through.
O’well, back to the o’grindstone!
Before I fergit, let me just say………………….Have a good time on your retreat and in the meantime we’ll cherish what time you can squeeze out to stop by and chat! Also be safe on the retreat!
Yeah, Snoopy’s a real dancin’ fool alright. That’s an old one.
I actually went back & read everything from 1950 to about the mid ‘80 last year. It’s amazing how that strip evolved over time. One of the constants though is that Snoopy loves to dance.

Isn’t corned beef kind of blechy? What do vegetarian Irish people eat for dinner tonight?
Did you know that if you eat a food high in fat content before you start drinking, it takes longer to get inebriated? But then it all hits at once and there you are sitting on the floor, wondering how everyone got so tall.
The librarian is staring at me. You would think people didn’t sit around at there computers dressed in a sheet and soggy shoes everyday. Geesh!!!! I guess I better go now.
Doc T I’m glad you got to relax. Have a good evening and no Irish Coffee until after work.
Everyone enjoy their corned beef and cabbage! I’m on my way home to have Lucky Charms. (after I’ve picked out the extra marshmallows of course)
A note to all grits cooks and consumers- when dropped on a shag carpet and NOT immediately cleaned, grits tend to coagulate. On a smooth surface, it’s not too bad…a putty knife and some elbow grease will suffice. However, on the avocado shag rug in the breakfast room, grits tend to form lumps that gather cat hair and toenails.
Please care for your grits! Escaped grits must be tended to immediately. They can, and if left unattended, WILL form rebel colonies, and extreme measures are required to subdue them.
I once hired gremlins to empty my cats’ litter boxes. They emptied the boxes okay, but left the turds…loophole in the contract, they said. They were hired to empty the boxes, but not the contents. I pitched a bleeep, and they immediately went on strike. Little bastards trooped around the bed all night, carrying tiny torches and signs in a language I couldn’t read.
I ended up stomping most of them. I think I’m on a hit list now, but so far all I’ve experienced is a butt sore that I cannot otherwise account for.
I just finished my movie. Last night I saw High Sierra which brings me to a question.
Does anybody know if L.os Angeles natives still refer to their city as “Loss Angle ease?” Many of the older films seem to use that pronounciation. I seem to recall seeing that explanation in The Bride Came C.O.D.
No clue, Grog. My experience is that LA has been divided into separate neighborhoods in popular media. East LA, South Hollywood, Compton, et al. It’s no longer a cohesive metropolis.
Hymenoxis, I would expect that these days everyone would just shorten it to “L.A.”, but I was curious since I’ve never been there and really have no desire to even visit. There are too many places in the south-west I’d either like to visit or return to.
By all means, go for it. It’s a “walking town,” one that can be seen and experienced on foot. The various neighborhoods provide wonderfully varied meals, and the history pokes you in the eye at every corner. Aside from New Orleans, I’d say it’s the best bet in the US for a cheap visit. Assuming you get a cheap hotel.
Lonewolf, I’d still like to get up to Chicago sometime (without using it as a springborad to my next destination) and even though I’ve been to Boston a few times on business & pleasure, I’d like to get up there again and make sure I attend a game at Fenway.
Hy. I’ve been to N’Orleans a few times. I’d like to go again this year to their jazz fest, but that’s not likely, given what’s on my plate right now. Maybe next year.
“Anchor Steam” is a type of beer only produced in San Francisco, so far as I know. “Anchor” is the company name, and “Steam” is the type of beer.
The “Anchor Brewery” produces many types of beer, but the “Steam” is its signature type. It’s a hoppy, sweet thing, which, if it were a woman, would be argumentative, but worth the effort.
I apologize for making fun of JAD. I’ve never had a problem with Joe…I’ve always taken into account the fact that he was an old guy in a retirement community, that he had a head injury, et al, etc.
Thank you for your restraint. I will do better in the future.
Hy & Dry, as very recently pointed out, our definitions of trolls may differ, but I consider him a troll. He intentionally posts what he does in the hopes of getting the response he usually does. In my opinion, he is at his best when he keeps it short & sweet. He can be funny. I know, because I’ve seen it. I would prefer to see more of that side of him.
Well in addition to the usual things that grate on me, I have seen him use words like idiot and stupid to fellow posters. It’s true that he is not the only one who has done so, but it doesn’t matter who utters those words; I find it unacceptable, whether the recipient deserves it or not.
Well, I am plumb full of corned beef , cabbage, potatoes and soda bread. This is the first time I have made the bread and it came out really well, it sure was a wet dough though.
Howdy johnnyd. Out here on the west coast it is still relatively early.
Terry, I fertilized our raspberries and messed around with our compost trying to help it out, I went on close to a 2 hour hike. It was a beautiful day and then had dinner with close friends and now am here with you all, so it has been a very nice day.
I know Cleo, but it is still evening.
Hi Terry!
I had an unpleasant night at work, so I have indulged in a drink or two. Which means I am doing great right now.
Sorry to hear that, Johnny. Just keep moving in a forward direction. I try very hard not to look back and most of the time I succeed in being happy with what is in front of me for the future.
Cleo and **Terry, it happens, I expected a rough day for St. Paddy’s, and it didn’t disappoint… I’ll get by.
Cleo, booker’s wasn’t strong enough for a day like today. :-D

Well, it’s time to get the party started. I’ll be back for a bit after my dinner/movie.
cleo, I’m sure you won’t be back until much later.
LuvH8, you’re probably on your way home to change, now.

LuvH8, according to one of the strips I recently read, the pinching thing is a British thing. You still may not be safe from getting smooched, though.

NO Smoochin!!!!!!
Have Fun Everyone!
Please drive & walk safely.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
OK, one more post before I go.
Corned Beef is
YUMMY!. Thats: yummyAnd I trim the fat as much as possible for obvious reasons, but leaving a little adds a little flavor.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
I don’t have corned beef and cabbage except for once a year and I like it.
Ooops! Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Well, maybe it wasn’t made correctly the one time I tried it.
Lonewolf, did you fall asleep. Hmm… maybe you should have the bad Irish coffee? I know, caffeine doesn’t keep you awake.
Well, I’m dripping all over the floor. Bye for now!

Doc T! ~ you are back.
No Smoochies!!!!!! Boys are stinky, booger heads!!!!!!
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
Hello Doc. How was your day?
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
Well, I guess that will make your evening go fast Doc.
Ooops! Premium Member almost 15 years ago

“Does anyone else wish GoComics would change their policy and allow only one user account per person? I know I do.”
I do too. For the one or two harmless double accounts, we have far too many sneak accounts, sorry to say.

Well, I am off to our friends house for dinner.
HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!!!

Have a good retreat bunnyfaceRecharge for Holy Week, unless you are leading the retreat. In which case, don’t get too tied!
Enjoy your dinner out cleo Sorry I missed you.
I’ll say Peace and love now, in case I don’t make it back. Hitting the books again.
Once again, *HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY ALL!!

Thanks, from your Janitorial Staff.

Maybe we need to employ some “grit gremlins”, Hymenoxis.

Avacado carpet? HY, avacado carpet? That went out in the what, 60’s? LOL

Hymenoxsis I thought the shag was orange last time we dropped grits on it? Did it die and turn green for St. Paddy’s Day?
Sorry I missed you Dry
Bye all, I AM NOT ADDICTED, I AM NOT ADDICTED…..
Oh, who am I kidding?
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Hi Shika! Bye Shika! Yes, I think the carpet WAS orange last time!
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
I once hired gremlins to empty my cats’ litter boxes. They emptied the boxes okay, but left the turds…loophole in the contract, they said. They were hired to empty the boxes, but not the contents. I pitched a bleeep, and they immediately went on strike. Little bastards trooped around the bed all night, carrying tiny torches and signs in a language I couldn’t read.
I ended up stomping most of them. I think I’m on a hit list now, but so far all I’ve experienced is a butt sore that I cannot otherwise account for.
Short story….hire gremlins at your own risk.

Evening hymenoxis, Lonewolf, Dry, McShika. & LW18

G’Evening Grog.
ladywolf17 almost 15 years ago
Good Evening Grog.
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
No clue, Grog. My experience is that LA has been divided into separate neighborhoods in popular media. East LA, South Hollywood, Compton, et al. It’s no longer a cohesive metropolis.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Hymenoxis, I would expect that these days everyone would just shorten it to “L.A.”, but I was curious since I’ve never been there and really have no desire to even visit. There are too many places in the south-west I’d either like to visit or return to.
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
Grog-
I’ve not been there myself. Easy to criticize, therefore. Too much hustle for an aging poet, I think.
Spent a few days in San Francisco, however, and ate well. Didn’t get beaten and robbed. Two thumbs up.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Now that’s probably about the only place on the left coast I’d like to visit.
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
By all means, go for it. It’s a “walking town,” one that can be seen and experienced on foot. The various neighborhoods provide wonderfully varied meals, and the history pokes you in the eye at every corner. Aside from New Orleans, I’d say it’s the best bet in the US for a cheap visit. Assuming you get a cheap hotel.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Lonewolf, I’d still like to get up to Chicago sometime (without using it as a springborad to my next destination) and even though I’ve been to Boston a few times on business & pleasure, I’d like to get up there again and make sure I attend a game at Fenway.

Hy. I’ve been to N’Orleans a few times. I’d like to go again this year to their jazz fest, but that’s not likely, given what’s on my plate right now. Maybe next year.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
I hear San Fran. is a LOVELY place!
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
Lovely, indeed. The food is excellent, and one might have an Anchor Steam beer at any stop. “I’ll have the seafood linguine, and an Anchor Steam”
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
And I like to be in cities where walking get’s you to where you want to go.
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
It’s a great “walking town”, but if you’re relatively immobile, it has great public transport.
Take the “BART”…
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
I love seafood linguine.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Uh-oh. Let’s not get into food again.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
HY what is an anchor steam?
tabbylynn almost 15 years ago

hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
A couple of well-placed scallops, a shrimp or two, and a bit of fishy-bits….with a lemon and white wine deglaze…
Nummy num.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
HY yummy indeed!
Tabby no, not if you read the comics and use the archives! Get them sent toyou in your email if you can’t read them all everyday.
ladywolf17 almost 15 years ago
See you all around update time.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
And here I thought it was some sort of regional beer!
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
Dry-
“Anchor Steam” is a type of beer only produced in San Francisco, so far as I know. “Anchor” is the company name, and “Steam” is the type of beer.
The “Anchor Brewery” produces many types of beer, but the “Steam” is its signature type. It’s a hoppy, sweet thing, which, if it were a woman, would be argumentative, but worth the effort.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
I’m glad you told me. I wouldn’t want to go to a local pub and ask for something that wasn’t what I thought it was.
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
I suddenly feel like JAD.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Oh! So it is a beer! I was right all along.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
HY JAD posts some very interesting info at times. Nothing wrong with that.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Not even close Hymenoxis. We asked for this.
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
Beer is made from grain, and pre-dates written human history.
Different grains produce different beers.
I drink beer.
My cousin drank beer. He died.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
OK, maybe just a little. But you’ll have to add about 25 more lines.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Never got a chance to finish my toons today, and still have to check out Daily Ink. If it gets late, “I’ll see ya’ when I see ya!”” Maybe at turnover!
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
Dry-
I apologize for making fun of JAD. I’ve never had a problem with Joe…I’ve always taken into account the fact that he was an old guy in a retirement community, that he had a head injury, et al, etc.
Thank you for your restraint. I will do better in the future.
GROG Premium Member almost 15 years ago
Hy & Dry, as very recently pointed out, our definitions of trolls may differ, but I consider him a troll. He intentionally posts what he does in the hopes of getting the response he usually does. In my opinion, he is at his best when he keeps it short & sweet. He can be funny. I know, because I’ve seen it. I would prefer to see more of that side of him.
tabbylynn almost 15 years ago
Dry i get some sent to me.
okay going to bed im to tired to stay awake
update on my frined. she is having contractions 4 mins apart!!! my godchild may finaly join the world!!!
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
I remember his first posts. They seemed to me to be excersizes in cognitive therapy. I took them as such, and did not post.
He was “Obvious Man”, and I did not post.
He is learning, I think, how to interact with others.
It occurs to me that I live nearby, and that I might go see him and report.
Finally, I suppose I should say that I’m on Joe’s side until further notice.
Joe does not flame, nor use uneccesary sarcasm, nor speak ill of anyone.
hymenoxis almost 15 years ago
Dang it…I’m an hour past bedtime and defending JAD.

Well in addition to the usual things that grate on me, I have seen him use words like idiot and stupid to fellow posters. It’s true that he is not the only one who has done so, but it doesn’t matter who utters those words; I find it unacceptable, whether the recipient deserves it or not.
On that sour note, I will call it a night.

cleokaya almost 15 years ago
Hello Terry. How are things?
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
Hi Johnny–How are you doing?
Today was tiring and busier than my body wanted, but I am happy with what I was able to accomplish work wise. Pretty good day as a matter of fact.
How about you, sir?
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
Howdy johnnyd. Out here on the west coast it is still relatively early.
Terry, I fertilized our raspberries and messed around with our compost trying to help it out, I went on close to a 2 hour hike. It was a beautiful day and then had dinner with close friends and now am here with you all, so it has been a very nice day.
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
I know Cleo, but it is still evening. Hi Terry! I had an unpleasant night at work, so I have indulged in a drink or two. Which means I am doing great right now.
cleokaya almost 15 years ago
johnnyd, I am sitting here with my snifter of brandy and awaiting turnover so that I can check out the toons. Sorry work was unpleasant.
COWBOY7 almost 15 years ago
Sorry to hear that, Johnny. Just keep moving in a forward direction. I try very hard not to look back and most of the time I succeed in being happy with what is in front of me for the future.
Glad you had a great day, Cleo.
johnnydoc5 almost 15 years ago
Cleo and **Terry, it happens, I expected a rough day for St. Paddy’s, and it didn’t disappoint… I’ll get by. Cleo, booker’s wasn’t strong enough for a day like today. :-D
