Are they related to the squirrels that were going to take over the world awhile ago.

The correct spelling in the first panel should have been “on the LAM”.

You know pschearer, take a blood pressure pill cause if you ever really noted Brian’s work, he knows how to spell. On the Lamb and on the lam sound the same so it was probably for the benefit of the lamb joke? These ants deserve whatever Doug and Sophie can think to do to them. I vote on smashing the dumb ones.

First of all, I’m amazed anybody could even see it. Second, with all due respect to Texans of all eye colors, the joke doesn’t really work if the first ant gets “lam” wrong. Third, to pschearer, you could spend all of your time trying to clean up spelling on the Internet. I strongly recommend you avoid reading the blogs of professional screenwriters, where the situation is (paradoxically?) the most dire.

Next, the ants will get sidetracked by crumbs in the kitchen.

Actually, they aren’t ants at all, they’re spiders. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ant_mimicry maybe they’ll get sidetracked by eating some of the bugs in the kitchen.

btw, to anyone complaining about spelling, put lamb in your spellchecker and see if it gets flagged. it won’t be…why? Because spell checkers don’t check spelling in context.

This humor reminds of the “Get Fuzzy” comic, where cat Bucky is always misunderstanding things Rob says.

It would be funnier if I could read it - Shading error, indeed!
