Any company worth their salt knows that their most precious commodity is a satisfied customer. You can have the best product on the market but if you don’t take care of your customer, you’re up the creek without a canoe.
JWF You are obviously not Canadian. Tim Horton was a great hockey player who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and later for the Buffalo Sabres and is now enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame. During the latter part of his career, he invested in a donut shop which bore his name, and which grew into a small chain in the Southern Ontario area. Tim was unfortunately killed in an automobile accident while still playing for Buffalo, but the donut shop chain carried on and was eventually sold by his spouse. The new owners have presided over the growth of this small company from its humble beginnings to Canada’s largest chain of coffee/donut shops, and it has seen expansion into several northern USA markets. The name “Tim” is now synonymous to “a cup of coffee” here in Canada, and everyone knows what you mean by “I am heading to Tim’s.”
