Sid: Boopsie? Sid! You'll never guess why I'm calling, so I'll just tell you - a benefit dinner! You in? Boopsie: You're involved in a benefit dinner? Sid: I know. I'm usually too busy, right? But this industry has been very good to me, kiddo. I just thought it was time to give back, yadda, yadda. Boopsie: Well, I'm speechless! Who am I writing a check to? Sid: The Roman Polanski extradition fund.

Is that for extradition or against?
rayannina about 15 years ago
It must be against, Jo Jo. I can’t think of a reason why Sid – not a man exactly overburdened with morals – would want to extradite Polanski

Doesn’t he mean “defense” fund?

Off hand there’s a pair of reasons law and order people would like SEE Mr Polanski .

Polanski did what he did. Whether or not his victim has “forgiven” him is immaterial.

I totally agree with you, yyyguy! Let him spend the rest of his life in prison.

If they are getting donations to bring him to justice pay the money. If the collections are to keep him from justice go drink the booze, eat the food and don’t give a dime. How do you help a child molester just because he made a couple of good movies is beyond me.

plus4 said: Trudeau satirizing Hollywood… well, I suppose that’s the closest he comes to being “balanced”.
Well, at least Trudeau does occasionally satirize the excesses of the Left. That’s a lot more balanced than you’ll ever see from “Mallard Filmore” … or any other “conservative” strip, for that matter.
