Calvin, I think u have to stay alive and in one piece until Christmas to enjoy whatever Santa gives you. If I were u I will concentrate first on what is right ahead of me.
In the last frame, it looks as though the sled got dismembered in Dismemberment Gorge. I guess Santa wonât have to put much thought into what Calvin will get for Christmas.
If Santa sees you when youâre sleeping and knows when youâre awake and knows if youâve been bad or good he knows your motivation behind it Calvin. He knows youâll go right back to being bad as soon as youâve opened your presents. If he can live with that itâs his business.
When my son was little, I told him that all parents are given Santaâs phone number when their kids are babies. This way, if a kid isnât good, their parents can call Santa right away. It worked for a few years!
⊠Wow! Iâm impressed. After hitting a tree and while flying though the air Calvin is able to actually speak .
Hobbes donât even need a âThought Bobbleâ His hand on his forehead says it all⊠Calvin is deep too be sure!
I like that downhill discussion phrase, very apt. Mom and Dad and yesâŠSanta, would probably settle for what they get. They are at least looking for effort

BC13, I beg to differ. Iâm an ENFP, and with regard to âChristmas lootâ I was as far from Calvinâs attitude as one could possibly get. While inevitably I had my problems as a youngster, I was true to myself all year round - and I actually took Christmas seriously.
Then, of course, I found out where Christmas and the like came from and why, and I stopped keeping it in favor of the Sabbath, Festivals and Holy Days that the original Church kept. That was way back in 1976, and part of the best series of decisions I ever made.

Then you are probably one of the few. I may not have indexed and alphebetized my list, but as a 6-year old , I was more like Calvin at Christmas than I care to admit - and I wasnât an ENFP. Coming to think of it, so was my sister.
IndyMan - I had to âgoogleâ it too, in order to find out. Iâm not good at distilling information into a few words, so you probably ought to do an internet search as well. It is a psychological abbreviation for a certain personality.
Indy thanks I wondered that myself and Iâm not that old unless middle age is a geezer. Unfortunatly employers think Iâm too old for office work they want very young.
I think these regular, albeit infrequent, downhill discussions are inspired by similar stripâs in Walt Kellyâs Pogo. At least that is what they have always reminded me of, I will have to go back and read my Pogo books be sure.
Why do they always have theyâre deepest conversations when they are going down a hill at break neck spear instead of talking at a normal timeâŠoh yeah,i forgot, they are Calvin and Hobbes.
