Had them in the 1930s dorm rooms where I lived 1979-81. Made the room mighty hot and dry.
I also remember a Family Affair episode in which Mr. French and the twins were snowbound in a cabin; French made hot chocolate on the woodstove from Buffy’s candy bar (Jody had already eaten his) and melted snow.

Radiator? They still have those things? Last time I’ve seen a place with radiators was back in 1975.
