in a year or so.. they will go broke replacing all of Tina’s cloths. . when she discovers boys are NOT yucky .because she will NOT fit into Jeri’s hand me downs.

I think Mom is wrong to force Teena into changing her image at this point. As I said before (and others as well) give her a couple years til she develops her first crush and she’ll want to change on her own.

It’s a bit offensive to think that tomboys “grow out of it” once they get a crush. This is just the way Teena is; she may change in a year, five years, or never. You can’t predict it.

She’s doomed. Doomed I tell you!

Wow, it’s me and my grandma! She once admonished me for carrying a pocket knife and said that ‘Princesses don’t play with knives’. I responded “of course they did, they had to be able to defend themselves from assassins.” She didn’t have a response for that. I think I was 12 :D
