Not even close. It’s Scarlett Johannson. The teacher assigned The Scarlet Letter (see “Hester” and “Pearl” on the board), but she thought he said the Scarlett Newsletter.
I wonder how many people who have seen the movie “Gone with the Wind” umpteen times, have actually read the novel? I haven’t read all of it – yet – but I recommend it highly.
Both The Scarlet Letter and GWTW were required reading in my H.S. junior Honors English class; did term papers on the Puritans’ Old Testament culture and on Pork and the slave hierarchy. Read GWTW at least once in college for pleasure after finding a hardback with movie photos at a yard sale; forget whether I’ve read it before or after those. A bit of a personal connection: My parents are buried and my sister works at that “awful place called Rock Island” (specifically Arsenal Island) where Ashley was a POW.
