So why has Obama, who always seems to have something to say about everything, been so dead silent about the stolen Iranian “election”?
ianrey over 15 years ago
psc, if by “silent,” you mean the lengthy speech he gave on the topic, discussing how he was “deeply troubled” by the violence, calling on Iran to respect the universal value of democracy, insisting that the US would respect Iranian sovereignty, stating that there is doubt about the results, but that the US, lacking any observers to the election, is not in a position to comment on allegations of fraud, then yes, he has been silent.
Or did they not report that one on Fox News?

Obama is smart enough to know he can’t take sides in the Iranian election. At best all he can do is call into question the process. If he backs either side it will look like we’re interfering in someone elses government.
And, don’t forget, we don’t do so well at running fair and free elections ourselves. Can you imagine how different things would have been if the rest of the world had refused to recognise George Bush as the legitimate president of the United States? We’d have been screaming about how it was none of their business. Well, it’s none of our business who sits in the presidents chair in Iran. And besides, their nut job president doesnt even come close to running their theocratic government.

He is talking stolen elections over with George and Jeb.”
Interesting claim, Hills Clinton won the popular vote in the Democrat primary. I guess that makes her the real President.
