Makes you wonder how many of his stories are true.

The words “This is a work of fiction, any resemblence to persons living or dead is purely coincidentle.” is just gov’t speak for “Yea it happened, but if we told the truth, you’d NEVER believe it.”

I don’t know if it’s more funny or alarming when he actually knows what he’s talking about.

Good point ejcapulet. That could be alarming. And he knows Lars too.

As Randy Cassingham over at This Is True (www.thisistrue.com) says, “Truth *is* stranger than fiction; fiction has to make sense!”

Lars is the one that was in the spaceship that flew out of the drainpipe. He ran into Captain Eddie right after that. (At least that’s what I remember, I think.)

So Eddie can’t say R except in LARS????
GROG Premium Member over 15 years ago
Love the look on Danae’s face in the last panel. So Eddie knows Lars. Did Lars abduct him?
Trebor39 over 15 years ago
No BC13, they’ve been friends for a long time, and Eddie went willingly.
Kerovan over 15 years ago
We already saw some of his stories are true, remember the Lobsters? But it appears now they’re ALL true. Very frightening.

I feel sorry for the readers of my local paper, who only get to see Non Sequitir on Saturdays (and the only strip that gets this absurd treatment) - they will have absolutely no idea what is going on!

…does this mean that Captain Eddie has really saved the world from aliens multiple times? And that the lobsters are trying to become a nuclear power? And that cats are actually our alien masters? And…
stargaze48 over 15 years ago
Hey JFri,
Captain Eddie probably Still can’t pronounce the “R”s. In Danish “Lars” comes out something like “Loss” in English. You are reading what he says, and since you can’t hear it you have to know how to pronounce it. Now you know…isn’t knowledge great? Still doesn’t answer whether one can trust his stories or not… think about it though.
