Alice: You're going to be an Out-of-Body experience for Halloween? How? Petey: I'll drift around like this - Howwooo! I am not the real Petey! Howoooo I am not the reeeal Petey! Howooohoooo! Alice: Oh. Petey: It needs work. That was more "wafting" than "drifting."

Wafting is still better than meandering.

Petey’s purposeful perambulating peregrinations petered pitiably.
Petey pops out at parties; he’s unpoopular.

Okay, here’s my idea of how to make an “out-of-body-experience” Halloween costume. Get some meat and cover your “real” body with it, to show that the corporeal is mundane. Then get a little flashlight, put it on a stiff wire, and put the wire on a collar so as to suspend it above your head, to signify your momentarily-displaced spirit.
Viola!
You’re welcome.

If he came to my door and did that , he’d get a rock.

NDBF: I think Viola is the girl Petey likes - by any chance did you mean “Voilá”?

I think Petey might pull it off since drifting-in-and-out is pretty much a way of life for him.

For my Halloween costume, I am going to
wear a plastic bag and go as white trash. (obviously a cul de sac(k) joke)
Or
maybe glue a bill to each ear and go as a
buck-an-ear. Or…….your turn…..

The way to be an out-of-body experience for Halloween is to stay home and hide. Then, the next day, you knock on all the doors and say “How come you didn’t give my astral projection any candy when it showed up yesterday?”
