I wonder why the Kings and Queens in England must have the joker to please Kings and Queens in their time? To make Kings and Queens laugh a lot or look despair???? I just wonder why those Kings and Queens must have the joker???

Back in the day, the “joker” was used to tell the kings and queens about the condition in the kingdom. They were supposed to be able to give the bad news in a humorous way, so they (and everyone else I imagine) could keep their heads.
