    crunk, I see it as the husband ant having kept Tim around against his wife’s wishes. The wife ant could tolerate Tim only while he was providing a useful service, and Tim was putting up with the wife’s hostility only for the same reason. The wife would see Tim’s departure as “kicking him out”, while Tim would see it as a welcome release.

    Ants don’t really got trouble with their in-laws, but I’m given to understand that in the “B.C” and “Wizard of Id” strips anything from the 21st Century AD can show up in them.
