Is this what they call watered down beer?

    “Lest we forget.”

Wasn’t there something about “making love beside a lake” too?

I never heard either, and after hearing of them I’d very much like to forget both.

Growing up in Central Illinois, I thought the all beers were Pilsners, like Bud (ugh), Old Style (double ugh), and Coors (GACK, spew, retch). Then I moved to California and tried my first red ale. For the first time, I discovered that it’s possible to drink beer because you like it, not just because it was the cheapest way to get buzzed.

Soon after that, I discovered Guinness, and in 18 months I was in rehab…

I’m Canadian and the beer is pretty good here, especially the micro brewery beers. Granville Island micro does a wonderful IPA.
