I hope this isn’t a ramp-up to the strip being cancelled. I’ve already lost Maintaining and Secret Asian Man in the last 3 months – I don’t want to lose Brewster too!
Hey - instead of thinking “end of strip”, you could think “beginning of new (parallel) strip”. Maybe Tim will now have TWO - one of the “real” Brewster and another of the “afterlife” Brewster. Maybe the “afterlife” Brewster could be smarter (he couldn’t be much dumber). This whole plot twist could DOUBLE OUR FUN!
Given that this strip tends to end its arcs abruptly without a real denouement, and start a whole fresh arc without any real segue, and the ideas remain fresh, I don’t see this as approaching the end of the strip.
We’ll wake up one morning soon and Brewster will be back and visiting the planet of the bagels where he will try to end the war between the Sesames and the Garlics over the cream cheese mines.
I hope…
(Spoiler alert) Don’t worry, it’s not the end of the strip. I happen to know things finally get back to normal by the end of this week and then it’s on to a new adventure Monday.
Maybe one of them will find the secret door, and all of them will simply walk back into the world of the living. Of course, if the station doesn’t exist anymore, they could soon find themselves back in limbo.

Ya know, they probably should make that self destruct button a little harder to access. Someone could just set their coffee on the thing one day.

I always wondered how they would end this strip…

I predicted something similar to this, yesterday. I hope they don’t end this strip. It’s one of the few clever and funny ones left that’s not a rerun.

So in heaven you get to spend eternity with your family, and your wife, and your wife’s family. In hell you get to spend eternity with your coworkers?

Maybe limbo is nothing more than what we think is reality.
