Nothing like having two Thanksgiving Days per year. The For Better Or For Worse clan and everyone across their home and native land celebrated in October, while folks in the land south of the border do likewise today. A happy and blessed Thanksgiving to one and all!
My kids try that, but my husband has been trained not to encourage it. I never thought that in making them wait without I was teaching them to defer gratification. Woo-hoo!
Seems to me this can be a Thanksgiving strip or a normal dinner. Works either way!
Everyone have a wonderful and bountyful Thanksgiving with the trimmings and I made my own type of pumkin pie less sugar. The parade is colorful and weather in Kansas in nice a little cool. News states Space Shuttle can be seen here in Kansas this evening and I want to see Christmas lights in the neighborhood or tomorrow night.
I have a feeling that Lynn didn’t color this strip. Her “daylies” are in black and white for the newspapers. She only colors the Sunday strip which is traditional.
I’m pretty sure that some team at GoComics does the colorization. Or some other group. Anyone know for sure?
She also turned the salad from green to white – unless it’s a different course in a different bowl? And since the theme of both yesterday’s and today’s strips is that the food smells too good to wait for… I know, “don’t feed the trolls.”
Good Lord, my parents would have forbidden COOKIES
before dinner….chips, if anything….John should know
better, as everyone says.Happy Thanksgiving,
everyone.

John should have known better than that! What example is that setting for the children?!?
Instant gratification! Don’t wanna wait, must have NOW. Ooh, just wait until they’re teenagers! xD

This could’ve been just any dinner, it didn’t say thanksgiving. But they should’ve waited. In punishment I’d give them the same thing tomorrow.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

[sigh] And yesterday Elly had impatience with that slow cooker. Of all that hard work, John and the kids spoil their appetite.

Boy, they should have something like appetizer to eat lightly, not junky foods. Sigh!

that happened to me sometimes.. oddly enough sometimes even if it’s been 3 hrs i’m still not hungry so i have such a hard time getting anything in xD
my bro did that so much when he was home which drove mom crazy.. the number of times he had a late lunch so he wasn’t hungry for dinner..
