This is the cutest of the cute strips!! But hey, when your short it’s hard to tell the difference from way down there. You grab on to what looks familiar.

This actually happened to me as kid, except I was with my dad. I must have been around 4 or 5. Remember it like it was yesterday, and I’m in my mid-50s.

reminds me of when I took the kids to WDW (Disney) I reached back for my sons hand. Realized the hand was to big. turned around. Not my little boy. Add to that out can “Can I keep you? ” Before I thought. Every one laughed.

I bet all parents are panic for losing the toddlers somewhere. Make sure to keep your eyes on your small children when you all go out somewhere.

Yes, we lost one once. She was older and went back to the last place we had been at the Seattle World’s Fair. How glad to see her safe and sound.

Believe it or not that happens all the time on Army bases. You go to the PX or commissary and everyone is in uniform. Little kids will just reach up and grab any leg in BDU’s. Good thing we all watch out for each others kids.

I did that to my mom when I was little only it was a purse I was to hold on to. After that she told my dad that I should be kept on a leash instead.

Had a little girl come up and grab my leg, whilst I was standing in line in a Burger King once, yelling ‘Daddy!’ Her cute Mommy, coming through door a half-second later, was mortified. I guess from the back I looked like her daddy, and the little girl thought it was a surprise. I laughed it off, of course, but the mother had a red face for at least ten minutes.

My son, who is visually impaired, while in a store with only mama, grabbed a gentleman’s leg and asked are you my Daddy? It was twice as funny because he was half again my size and of a different race.

Our son, at age 3, went up to an older lady who was bent over and rubbed her gluteus. He thought she was his mother because of the color of the woman’s pants. No sexual assault there. Just a loud shriek.

Looks like John without his glasses in the second panel, but that wouldn’t make sense. (I see the difference now in the title.

When I was little, my dad took me under Niagra Falls in the tunnels. We all wore slickers. I guess I let go of his hand for a second, and then grabbed another man’s hand. They all looked alike with the black slickers on. Luckily, my dad turned around and saw me so that I let go to grab his hand. I don’t remember being scared, so the stranger must have been pretty understanding.

Perhaps this is what inspired Rick Springfield to make the song “Don’t Talk to Strangers”.

I did the same thing when I was 5. I was at a outdoor crafts fair with my mom and was looking at something when she’d been standing right next to me. I didn’t realize she gone to the next table, and I ended up holding has with an older lady I didn’t recognize. Scary and embarrassing.

I also had mistaken my dad’s brother for my dad as a baby. My uncle was holding me when my dad got home from work. My eyes darted back and forth between the two for a few seconds before I started shrieking like Lizzie.
