A man’s work’s from sun to sun A woman’s work is never done. Especially when you have little ones.

“A woman’s work is never done, or paid for, or appriciated, or commended.” Teach you to eat that apple.

They need to go outside if that’s how they eat. At least the birds would get fed.

Wow, Flight Suit, you are in usual form today. :-|

Nobody likes having to clean up after others all the time. Hopefully Elly gets more enjoyment out of her kids than just continually cleaning up after them, all three of them! (John included)

I’m sure she does get pleasure, but I seem to remember when April was born, the strip was more focused on her silliness and pleasure- and I do think people are less mired in the craziness and exhaustion of kids after the first “set” of kids and later kids or the one you KNOW is the last, I think you enjoy the little things more and worry about the crumbs less.

I see some backsides getting tanned. These kids need to learn to eat over plates or clean up after themselves. Or, as lightenup said, eat outside with the rest of the animals.

Cleaning the house while the kids are still growing…is like shoveling the walk while it is still snowing.

It would probably make Elly’s job more efficient if she used a broom instead of a mop, swept stuff together instead of scattering, and taught her kids to eat at the table.

Babsby that is a broom, and what is that pile in the dustpan if not “swept together”? However, I’ll agree about eating at the table, or at least sitting down somewhere.

We had a rule that until they reached 12, they had to eat in the dining area (or at least in non-carpeted areas), and be sitting down. By the time they were 12, they had learned how to use a plate or napkin to catch crumbs, or clean up their own mess.

Elizabeth and Michael will continue to act with impunity like that as long as there are no consequences. Time for Mom to lay down the law. It would have been interesting to see the next panel in this installment…..

Hello: This is a comic people! Settle down! The kids are supposed to drive Elly nuts, otherwise no tension to create the humour!

MatureCanadian - thank you!!!! We’ve all been there, she’s trying to show that there can be humor in day to day situations. That being said, I’m recovering from two broken legs right now and it’s great having my teen age children take over and learn what it’s like.

The kids need to eat at a table. I hope everyone is good, I’m ok, cold, otherwise ok.

Even my own stepmother doesn’t want me to eat something in my bedroom (from where I’m writing).
