FYI – “Indian summer” has nothing to do with a particular month (i.e November).
Typically one experiences a “respite” of warm days after true autumnal weather has begun. Only areas that experience winter conditions/change of seasons have “Indian summer”.

i always heard that indian summer was a spell of warmer weather which occurred after the first frost of the fall. i, too, never heard anything about specific months. (but then, i’m a Canuck and will be celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend!)
Chill, then a little warm before the deep freeze.
It has a slightly offensive connection to “Indian giver,”
which probably came from a poorly translated treaty.

Hmmm wasn’t it Nate complaining about the ‘cold’ just last week? They must be having a late “Indian Summer” …
And “eXtreme Shark Surfing” sounds like an interesting new sport … Be careful of where you put your foot, your board might just bite your foot off.

Indian summer is in November so it is not late yet, too many people can’t seem to remember how the seasons work

Um… They are on a ship. The ship can move over the water to any ocean in the world. What cold weather?

I think Edcole has the right of it.
