That’s the beauty of the storyline so far… it defies the cliche of love being only for the young and slender.

Anyone seen the Gasoline Alley strip anywhere?

Hector: Gertie may not be ‘hot’, but she is ‘beautiful’.

Poor Gertie. But you know, he would be a lot of fun.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I’m glad there are men who don’t expect women to remain young and slender since they age and gain weight too.

Gertie, THAT is profound. Where would we men be if women didn’t love us despite our unloveliness?

I think I’m in love with Gertie! I love the story line. She is indeed beautiful.

Part of the charm of this strip - no matter which character(s) are portayed - is that it has a readership which is so involved in the characters. No matter which characters are playing out their story, we all want to visit that place called Gasoline Alley.

There is no such thing as a book of Queens in the Bible. I know the Bible pretty well and it’s not there. And the Bible nowhere mentions a Queen Gomorrah.
