Yeah, I guess that Shirl is supposed to be a lucky woman because her eyes open and DT’s do not. What’s up with DT’s arm growing out of Shirl’s head? I like that she won’t pay DT respect enough to turn around a look at him. I think the best looking character in today’s strip is the sleeping dog. What happened to the Godzilla-looking dog that wouldn’t go to sleep? DT better watch his back.
Someone please clean up Baskerville’s body! So gross. Maybe DT is too busy eating bad, oily sandwiches to pay attention to his job as a detective. PAY ATTENTION, DickTracy!!
I am inspired. From now on, I am going to point at objects, just like DT. Rather than using my finger, I will simply extend my open-fisted palm outwards, and then lean my entire body towards the object. Boy, I hope nobody hangs a towel on my arm while I do all that. FYI - Loving that Baskerville’s arms are hovering above the ground. Dead bodies don’t need gravity.
Is there a significance to the fact that Locher’s logo appears in the last panel right next to the dead body? I sense a hidden subliminal message here.
What Tracy leaves off is: “You’re a very lucky woman in that I was here and that I sentenced a prisoner in custody to death without trial or any legal niceties so that your life could be saved…you almost forced us to use these guns we’ve been waving around all day in this bank…and its a good thing we didnt because we forgot to bring any ammo…thats why we didnt shoot”
Hey works just as well as any other reasoning in Tracyland nowadays…
Shirl’s got a pretty ugly hand there. Two really short fingers and two stumps. Guess she didn’t come away from the dogs without a loss. Is she pointing to her face or making more scratches in it for sympathy?
And yeah, the corpse IS pointing to Locher’s name as if to point at who to blame for this disaster. Amazingly, Tracy actually LOOKS like his old self in the first panel….was that an accident? Or did he copy it from an old Gould strip?

I guess they never heard of sealing off the crime scene?

Do her lips not close? Or, does she wear an athletic mouthpiecw?

This entire ludicrous Shirl arc has been poorly written from the get go.
