What the heck?!? Now suddenly the fire department shows up. Tracy sure as heck didn’t call them. This is beyond ridiculus.

Gweedo, it’s magic, just like the fire department’s appearance.

Perhaps that is what he has done, created a chemical that when subjected to the heat and force of an explosion, regenerates flesh and bone.

It hasn’t regenerated his eye, though

I can’t believe this is a Dick Tracy storyline. The guy thinks he’s found a way outta his house payments…… I have a dirty little surprise for him! That is, unless he’s been renting!

look at his hands they are almost normal. thats what he’s done he taught Locher how to draw hands.

For those who followed the Robot storyline as well: at least the fire department shows up! Anyone recall how quickly the SWAT team appeared in that last story-line? Yup - I don’t think they ever showed up! And here, they appear while Dick’s out for a long leisurely stroll.

I thought the Fire department wasn’t going to show up since they “weren’t needed”?

Is that the CIA guy masquerading as a Fireman??

If the ‘left’ one was closed (see 1-11-09) at the time of the “Pum”, it should be the one undamaged, but not so !(?) Now, remember Gould had a strip within Tracy called the ‘Invisable Tribe’? Well rumor has it that Locher wants to emulate the effort, with ‘Invisable Hands’ and in the Spanish edition (for the ONE Latin paper that carries it), it will be called ‘Dick Tracy el Hombre con Manos Invisable’. The introduction of this feature (or lack thereof) will cut out the constant ‘carping’ and ‘invective’ which appears regularly on the Board. I’ve been advised that the Praetorian Guard stands ready to applaud. They see it like the man will be creating a transparent Flattop to silence us ‘Blowtops’.

Nice of the fire dept to show up after Noll told them not to on the phone the other day. Guess they had second thoughts after everyone on this board heckled them for calling to ask Noll if his house had just exploded.

Once again, you people don’t get it. I can’t believe I have to explain everything to you!! He was making crystal meth and explosions are common. The flexs or white lumps, you see floating in many of yesterday’s and today’s panels is residual crystal meth, laced with LSD. Essentially everything you’re seeing in today’s panels is a drug induced hallucination. That’s right, Dick Tracy, the CIA fire Department, the regeneration of human flesh is nothing more than a hallucination. Meanwhile were missing the real action at Dick’s House, the two girls have just begun a lesbian relationship. Dick, gather some of the crystal meth and go home, DICK go HOME.

Forgetting about that rat Sydney, Dick reluctantly started to walk in the direction of Dr. Noll’s house. He saw there were fire engines there. He knew he needed to get this visit over with quickly. Between all the snow and thinking about all the water coming out of the fire hoses was causing his bladder to want to explode. Gritting his teeth and crossing his legs he stood in front of the house. “The fire department is here but where is Dr. Noll”? Dick said while looking for a safe place to make yellow snow. Dr. Noll was ecstatic! “I’VE DONE IT”! he exclaimed. Fire Captain Matthew P. Morrow approached the doctor with concern. “Sir, are you alright”? Noll paid him no mind. All that mattered was that he finally got the chili out of his system. He felt like a new man. Life was good! Where were those chicks that came over before? “I’VE DONE IT”!

How many Blow-Ups does this make ? Seems like you only need to read this comic once a month for anything to change ?

Dr. Noll looks like he’s been ripped in half in the second panel. Or maybe it was the panel that was torn up and hastily pasted back on at the printers. I’m all for individual art styles, but really, a trail of smoke shouldn’t have jagged edges.

Awfully slow pacing and merciless REPETITION! Even Deafy Sweetfellow (1940) would ‘hear’ and understand better than most, that the story line has a white stripe and ‘smells’!

I’m not certain that I totally understand the problem, but have you tried clicking the ‘back’ arrow? That may take you to where you want to be.
