Why didn’t he use…never mind. This strip is now officially a farce.

Will the EMTs get there, only to have Noll tell them that there’s no problem? And, as has been asked by the astute persons here, why would she shoot him? It makes no sense.

Already, in-experienced Writer Locher, as it has been pointed out, has Tracy breaking all the Police proceadual rules. He is even approaching a potemtial crime scene (after hearing a gun shot) without a drawn weapon, and not concerned that his wife is dangerously following him like a “can” tied to the bumper of his car leaving on their honeymoon. Locher, ever ready to leave gaps for his readers to fill in (another neighbor will call the ambulance) will face yet another challenge (tomorrow’s strip?). Securing tyre tracks in the snow. Will this elementary technique be remembered? Additionaly, Angelorious seems rather careless not to conceal her car which should be well known after her earlier “grand-standing” around the Tracy’s home. Thought sharp-eyed Tracy, might have made a mental note of that one (?) A different car you said ? Sorry, that’s the kind of genious, “forget-me-not” gap I was referring to. YOU fill the readers in!! Given Tracy’s “rep”, the shot could easily have been an assassination attempt to “set” him up. His carelessness stands out! And Tess continues to wallow in her new, empty headed, “dumb-cluck” persona. Waiting now for tomorrow, for another bumbling-rumble instalment of the rubberized, yellow, Daffy Duck kind. QUACK ! QUACK! PS. Is the crosshatching to Noll’s right “Art-Code” for the “blood” stains Locher is not supposed to show? O.K. I take back one demerit !

Just based on Police procedure Chester Gould is absolutely spinning in his grave.

Maraueritem, the only reason I can think of for her to shoot him would be that the oil company owns the product now and his demise makes it final. They didn’t want the product on the market. Just my thoughts.

The Author in his “wisdom” kindly revealed that vision to us back in 2007 when he had Tracy over a 12 month period use the “watch” only 3 times to communicate and a “Cellphone” on 19 occasions! Pointedly too, he never has the Department’s “Communications” Specialist, Lt. Teevo, use the “watch”. That’s infra dig in the Profession. Just shows that Chester Gould back in the woolly past didn’t know what the “ASK” he was doing ! No wonder that DELI-delicious wishes to see us plebians join him in paying homage to that “genious” residing in Naperville. ;)

GROK, If nothing else Locher succeeded in portraying a confused individual. I guess that its easy to “draw” what you see around you all day. House of mirrors? UNG ! I think they got me in the ankle too!

Dick shouldnt even have to dial the watch, just talk into it. It should already be set to whatever frequency Naperville’s finest are using. So, no, the watch shold really be faster. Which is probably why he didnt use it. Dick doesnt seem like he’s in too much of a hurry to save Noll. I think he’s actually in league with Lady Anthrax.

I thought that was pretty bad until I went to school yesterday. Some of my students families were still without power, after nearly 14 days.

Dypak, I think Marktrail was just taunting DL. I doubt that he was serious. With such a modern communication tool, Locher had tracy back in 2006 and early 2007 using a cellphone more often AND as a “fashion statement” rather than as a communication device. I speculate wife Mary or even recently departed Matt (who has admitted giving DL presents) may have started the gimmick going in Dick Tracy.
