I love Tracy’s face in panel 3, well done.

I don’t think Tracy will ever get over Macho Grande.

I like the art in the second and third panel. I think Brozman is too inconsistent in his drawing of Gertie.

“Granted there are some continuity problems but that doesn’t detract from my enjoyment.”

    Continuity problems…

Like the fact that in panels two and three Dick’s tie stripes go in different directions?

Tracy’s confused - and can you blame him, folks? I mean, WE’RE confused by this plot, and we didn’t get hit with a glass bottle.

I’m really looking forward for Gertie to go Rambo and save B.O. and Tracy, further proving the uselessness of the DT police. Besides, ‘Minigunned by old lady’ is a fantastic new way to do away with a villain.

I really like this strip in recent weeks. The artwork is getting better, and it has the feel of an old Chester Gould story. Say what you will, but I like it.

Dick is looking good in panels 2 & 3. I hope Jim hits his stride soon, he’s kinda up and down at the moment.

I’m agree with NotNormanChubsyUbsy, the plot is good and Brozman is doing a good job on the strip.

wonderwarthog, just for the record , I was going to comment on the fact that Tracy must have been a bomber pilot in some past war..but the appropriate reference from ‘airplane’ summed it all up. good one

I’m not nit-picking today, just innocently chuckling at how things evolve in Dick Tracy.

    1) The Tracy 75th Aniversary occured in October 2006.

    2) Thirteen years earlier, sometime in 1993 Locher wielding what he callrd “Artistic Control” (i.e. power and authority - Gee sounds important) banished the hat for 99% of the time.

    3) In March newbie Jim Brozman changed the heavy striped tie to a “pin” striped one. Take historical note - 3-12-09 - although his name would not officialy appear on the strip for another four days. But that’s small potatoes.

    4) Brozman gets carried away at times with the “forward” carriage of the Tracy nose. He did it again today in the mid-panel

    5) Someone on The Daily cartoonist site said that new artists on a strip often try to “copy” the style of his predecessor; foibles, faults and all. He could be right. Those “girly” hands are just as Lilliputian and flawed as Locher’s !

    TODAY’S ADVICE TO BROZMAN:

Make hands “larger”, keep nose “small” !

I like the drawing in this strip.

Tracy already knows what Jack looks like, so we must be about to meet ol’ Big Ace.

Well he’s not Peter Parker, cuz HE woulda said “just your friendly neighborhood casino owner”.

One needs to be on a higher level to be able to interpret the crafty path of the storyline. The symbolism, the movements, the realism: it all moves forward at an eclectic pace.

May not Chester Gould, yet it is spiffy seeing ole friends. Makes it all all the easier to relive the good times.
