I just checked the dictionary before I saw these comments. Amazing that the first three posts have to do with a word!
As my mom would say, “Don’t play with those flinders, you’re liable to poke somebody’s eye out!”
I don’t get it.
Are we supposed to feel sympathy for that arrogant plutocrat Warbucks?
Personally I hope they spend the next several strips showing him getting the bejesus beaten out of him!
Don’t be surprised if the presumed-dead Asp and/or Punjab show up soon.
Maybe you know more about Warbucks than I do, but in my experience he’s always been kind to Annie and always willing to help his country. Personally, I’m rooting for him.
I don’t think the Asp and Punjab are going to show up to rescue Warbucks – They will be reunited after (maybe sometime after) Warbucks gets out of th is.
Hey Warbucks is a self-made man a good American who does his best for his country and treats his employees well and is a philantropist (I don’t think I spelled that right but you know what I mean) I really want to see Punjab and Asp again, I thought they had magic powers or something maybe Mr. Am could bring them back.
“Are we supposed to feel sympathy for that arrogant plutocrat Warbucks?”
Yes, very much so. He’s still a good guy, no matter how close to the line of evil he may be. Remember, Bill Gates was voted by school kids as both hero and villain. Is he truly evil? No, just very, very greedy. But he does help the poor out in other countries. Daddy W. is the same way.

And we are at last about to find some plot movement. Hey, I learned a new word … “flinders”.

I know, right? That made today’s strip worthwhile, anyway.
Flinders, cool.

Most likely the Asp and Punjab are somewhere in the building enjoying seeing “Daddy” get his butt wipped every day.
