Exactly what will they say to ground the plane without showing their hand? The bomb must be wired to an altimeter, now that they are airborn, they cannot descend below the preset altitude. They will have to make an emergency landing on a high glacier or at a mountainous airport.

I suspect there will be parachutes in their future. Mrs. Tubbsbottl thinks that there will be a complication invloving life rafts and sharks.

Poor Sandy, from street dog to fish bait, what and end.

    Or is it!?!

Not the end! They’ll manage to contact the plane. But what to do about the bomb?

wndwrithg may have the solution. I would suggest landing at “Mile High” Denver (5,280 feet) or, better yet, Mexico City (7,350 feet).

Does anyone know of an airport within reach at a higher elevation?

If the bomb is tied to an altimeter, why would it be set to go off when descending? Why not have it go off when it climbs to a preset altitude?

An altimeter isn’t necessarily the trigger.

Maybe they’ll somehow wind up on that “Lost” island.
