Why are these people speaking in English like that? Why don’t they use their native language?

Some rich foreign powers might buy Xaxos in that state. They, like Warbucks, would be interested in what information they could glean from the hard drive. They would trust their technicians more than the associates of that submarine crew.

Presumably, the information Warbucks previously copied from Xaxos was lost with his luxury submarine.
