I used to have a few corporations just cluttering up the house, and I can tell you it sure does feel good to toss them out!

I have’nt read Annie for a few months, but why do I get the impression that the art and in particular layouts (like yesterdays) are not as attractive as they used to be by Slampyak ?

With Locher close to retirement Jay Maeder (Author of the Official Dick Tracy Biography) should be “writing” that strip too. Locher may have been physically closer to Gould but Maeder “understands” what Dick Tracy is all about MUCH better !.

All those families whose lives are completely disrupted by this sale will be happy to know they are no longer cluttering up Warbucks portfolio. Maybe Annie will get to meet some of them on her visit to the Broadcast Ranch Boys (who apparently just missed the same fate). It’s who you know…

Most corporate sales do not affect anyone below top management very much. The big shakeups are when the company isn’t doing well and the new owner is trying to “shake things up” to fix it. Generally, when you buy a profitable company, the motto is, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Most greedy capitalists do try not to kill the geese that lay golden eggs.

It’s not like he’s making the chicken farms go away, he’s selling them. Presumeably to someone in the chicken business. They’ll probably need employees as well. —- Sydney - Slampyak’s doing just fine, thanks. No complaints from here!
