You’ll notice, though, that Alice was never beaten. That she always had the upper hand and Ralph was the hapless one who was always “beaten.” And always verbally put in his place.
As an old-time who remembers Alice fondly (loved her, hated him), I recall the original line in the skits on the Jackie Gleason Show (before the spin-off Honeymooners TV program) was “One of these days, Alice, ONE OF THESE DAYS…POW, RIGHT IN THE KISSER!!!”
So believe it or not, the “to the moon” line was actually kinder and gentler in its violent, vicious way.
Man, you’re harsh today Grok. Roz asked for a hard one. At least Cassatt and Brookins remembered that March is Womens History Month, Tinsley wouldnt care. Or if he did he’d find some way to bash it.

For those of you still pining for Tidler, you need only go to yesterday’s “Pickles” to satisfy your fix.

Send Tidler off to “Little Dog Lost”. They need him there.

Ah classic television! Most of today’s so called comedies “suck” in comparison to those old classics!
