Oh no! And Gertie had to pay some scalper through the nose for her tickets!

Gertie is in for one big old disappointment! she should have stuck with her initial opinion of Bird.

As I recall, Gertie dumped Byrd because he didn’t have money…which would be shallow, except let’s face it, he was an itinerant musician working as a dishwasher. So now that he’s all successful, should Gertie be blamed for having doubts? I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be rooting for here.

And is it Byrd or Bird?

I think it’s Earl Lee Byrd, but he’s also called “Bird”– though if they didn’t all talk in wordballoons, the distinction wouldn’t be apparent!

crunkbot said, Why did Terry not mention this to her earlier?…she knew she was getting ready to go to the concert. That plainly just would not have happened this way.

That does seem odd, but maybe the timeline isn’t what you think it is. Maybe the tickets were sent over just prior to the show. In any case I, like you, will be back to see what happens next!

It’s good to see so much for support for Gertie this time around. Last time Bird was in town all everyone wanted was for the story to end. Hope this time around it ends better for both.

Maybe Bird asked them to keep it quiet, so he could surprise Gertie.
