Mr. Jenkins Mallard (thus the green head) is afraid that Al (Capone) is going to invite him over for dinner as the main course.

Don’t sweat it, Mal. He’ll probably end up up in jail soon enough.

I think that’s a reflection from overhead lighting.

Raptors are always so arrogant, they think they own the sky. Wait a minute, they pretty much do.

Is this a commentary on American political and social mores?

Raptors may own the sky, but I watched some mockingbirds chase a hawk off of a ledge of a six story building. They landed on either side of him/it and crowded him out till he flew away. Nope, he didn’t return in full attack mode.

There’s also a face in the mallard’s spilled drink.

I can’t decide whether the light areas in his drink constitute a face.

Olive for the kill? --I think it’s just ducky. --If he’s not careful, his shirt will have a ringed neck from all that sweat.

Most birds get very agressive if their territory is invaded- especially those that travel in gangs like grackles and some others- I’ve seen doves and thrashers fight over feeding privleges on my patio and either could win a battle-very different styles of fighting. Some need a running start, while others just stand their ground.

Oh, what a nightmare!
