Yeah, my weeds are thriving too, Earl, but I’m not exactly happy about it.

Blackberries around here a a weed that bears edible fruit — but you still can’t let them run rampant. They’ll grown 6 ft high, impale you on their thorns, and lift up your house and throw it across the street to make room for their parties. Well, almost.

Had a neighbor whose grass was all weeds. He said he didn’t care as long as it was green…lol

A neighbor of mine used a weed killer to spray a few weeds on his lawn. Now the lawn has about a dozen big yellow blotches among the green. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST!!

There was a weed here, they started making it grow in different colors, now you get it at Lowes. It’s called Lantana.

Lantana is a wildflower around here, and can also be planted as a carefree ground cover. If it flowers and doesn’t have to be watered, we let it stay.

@Susansunshine – I think I know those blackberry bushes. Those darn brambles always there to give you a nice sharp hug in exchange for letting you take a few berries.

Back when I was young in the 70’s our horseshoe set had colored rubber shoes, they were red and blue. Not as satisfying as the metal ones at school – instead of “clank” you got “thunk.”
