A lot of finicky people on here whose parents couldn’t cook worth a $#!); lima beans are delicious!!

I’d do ‘em in a succotash. Probably spelled that wrong. Momma and my mom are two of a kind. Had to eat at least half of anything we didn’t like since it was “Good for you”. Ick.

I, for one, have always liked Lima beans. Also Brussel sprouts, broccoli, and asparagus.

brussel sprouts? just as bitter as lima beans, but also has the lovely characteristic of feeling like you just put a large wad of semi-solid booger into your mouth. yum!

Oh not for me I have always loved Lima Beans even as a small child…. Brownies not so much the smell is great but the taste weeeellllll……

Not many veggies I don’t like, including okra, but lima beans-might as well eat dirt.

Believe it or not, bacon and onions make lima beans taste gooooodddddd…it also works for brussel sprouts!

what also works with kids is telling them a story and refusing to tell the next part unless they take another bite (worked on me, anyway!)

Only thing wrong with all legumes is the aromatic after-life. Enjoy them!!

When C Rations were still available, back in my early days in uniform, I’d trade for the ham and limas, that meal usually had peaches and pound cake as the dessert.

Lima beans are good, brussell sprouts are yummy, and rutabaga is heavenly! I always was a strange child…

What is it with lima beans and peas? I love them both. They seem to be the stereotyped hated vegetables in the comics. (Well, brussels sprouts, too.)
