It’s worth it to get as far away from Rat as you can.

Hey,hey, hey, margueritem – is that the Ghoul’s Froggy overdey? Thanks for the smile! And remember – scratch glass, turn blue, but do it while you can and don’t get caught!

Rat’s fiendish plot worked….now HE can snag the manager’s job. Then he’ll be in a position to berate (be-Rat?) not just customers but the other employees.

My first full-time job was at one of the world’s largest oil companies. I was not sure if I wanted to stay at one place all my life. One day, the paymaster had a heart attack, a month before he was to retire. He had worked there thirty-five years, I tendered my resignation two days later. I now run my own business – but that took a while.

You hit the nail on the head….And to think that my grandparents and parents used to call the comics ‘the jokes’ and ‘the funnies’

Backpacking like that used to be known as “hitting the hippie highway (or hippie trail)”. (See http://tinyurl.com/3jdwvmm) Unfortunately, that isn’t possible today ’cause it goes through dangerous places like Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan.@SCAATY_423I know what you mean – my “career path” was more like the trail of a drunken sailor lurching from one berth to another.

brilliant — for many it’s more like: then you get laid off, lose your health benefits, get sick and then you die.

I hate this new server. For one thing, how do you enlarge the strips?? And, they show up a day late in black and white. The other server was FAR better.

Wow. This is the most stunningly accurate description of “careers” in America I’ve ever scene in a comic strip. Not really funny, but almost everyone who’s worked more than a couple of years for someone else will recognize the truth of it.

@margueritem ~ Thanks! It was fun to learn about Andy’s Gang and Froggy the Gremlin. This was obviously the inspiration for the Ghoul’s Froggy. ※ ※ @Clint Ackerman ~ I’m in the Detroit area. The Ghoul was pretty popular here, too. At least among those with a certain warped sense of humor. ◑ ◡ ◐
