I wonder what the ‘excellent’ score is. It is all relative so…I did a few trivial quizzes and tests where I put my answers completely at random and the best I’ve got amongst those was a 85/100.

I don’t like the looks of this. Despite his arrogance, he was confident in his answers. And Mrs. Godfrey looks like she is genuinely complimenting Nate on his work but his reaction and that of Gina leads me to think something else happened!

He received a 99 because although his answer to question 9 was correct, it did not contain enough detail to suit the objective desires of the teacher in question.

Sallymargaret, I’ve learned from the good folks at gocomics that they do indeed intend to add archives of past strips. Don’t know how far back the archive will go, and I’m not sure of the exact timeframe. But it’s going to happen. They’re going to start with the top 10 most-subscribed comics; I’m not one of those, so the Big Nate archive might take awhile.

I agree with ghostkeeper. I mean, Nate studied real hard. He must of got a 100, but after reading Mrs. Godfery’s note, he could not believe what she said.

I’m not sure. There was one proposal for a live-action movie, but Nate is a cartoon character. I don’t want a flesh-and-blood kid playing him. I think a better fit might be an animated TV show, but currently there’s nothing in the works.

I think Gina is being smug from Nate’s reaction. I don’t think she saw the mark yet. Hopefully she gets shot down in flames. Something similar happened to me…the person behind me asked if I got 100%. I didn’t. It was 120% (love them bonus questions).
