Thanks for reading the recently re-booted Barkeater Lake adventures. I missed the strip and felt like it was a good time to get back into the characters, so here we are.
That said, I’m doing this purely for fun, so as hard as I may try, updates may not always be daily, but there will be new strips on a somewhat regular basis, as I have the time.
I appreciate the readership and let’s see where this goes.
Okay so how about picking up where you left off with Delores and the gang ? Just who did she marry and move back to NTC for ? I am vey confused – it seems asthough Banks and everyone else don’t know her now.
Corey, you’re not the only one who missed the strip. Nor will BL be the only one I read regularly that often misses updates. If I can put up with those others, that aren’t half as much fun, BL will be a piece of cake.
Well as expected Pandolph has dropped the ball on this rehash of old scripts. Just like what was pointed out above what happened to the story line from the “original” comic? And why is this comic paralleling the original with just a few changes? I can tell you why, because Pandolph is milking this strip. And the folks running GoComics is paying him for his half hearted efforts. In the About Barkeater Lake descriptive it says, “Each 22 week season”. Now that leads me to believe that for 22 weeks Pandolph is going to provide new strips every week day. Apparently I and everyone else who understands English had it all wrong. So far Pandolph had provided us with redrawn, slightly modified old strips. And as far as this 22 week season goes since May 23 he had weekday strips for two weeks. 2 weeks, 5 days a week. The following week he missed a strip on Friday. The week after he missed Tuesday and Friday. The week after he only provided a strip on Fri June 24. Now here it is Mon June 27 and no strip. If this is a 22 week season I hate to see what else Pandolph and GoComics consider to be fulfilling a contract and keeping fans happy. I really dig Barkeater. Pandolph could make millions of dollars with this strip but he just doesn’t care. I guess if I could convince GoComics to pay me money to do nearly nothing I would do it too.

I thought this was a daily strip; at least before the merger. Wish they would get on the ball.

I agree with 8ball – I can live without daily updates but am glad to see the strip continue on a more-or-less regular schedule.
