Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Well, I could say something “Someone in the gocomics.com production department, who wouldn’t know which one was first anyway, accidentally switched them.”
But since that mundane and painfully obvious premise didn’t occur to you, I’ll tell you the REAL reason: Berke Breathed personally wanted to screw with you, and sent his minions to Andrews McMeel Universal’s Top Secret Nexus Dungeon deep below Kansas City to compel them to attempt this experiment in mind control. Their goal is to make you believe you’ve just enlisted in the US Army circa 1969, and you’re going to report to the civilian transport which will take you to your unit in Vietnam tomorrow. HOO-AHH!
They have a page for this, but not Sam Hurt’s “Eyebeam”? Now that was some funny academic comedy! There is nothing on gocomics as funny as Hank the Hallucination!

Hey, THIS is the first Academia Waltz strip. Yesterday’s was the SECOND. What’s with this?

What I find interesting is before Breathed found his visual “voice,” the drawing shows clear influence of Jules Feiffer’s work.
