Voice from speakers: Woo! Ohh... I had *way* too much coffee! Phew! What a relief!... As he visited the restroom before coming out to speak, Dale forgot that his lapel mic was on.
At least he didn’t make any derogatory remarks about the audience he is about to address…….like ‘Did you see that melon headed bucktooth moron in the second row?’
yeah. just remember, the moron you’re talking to on bluetooth may be in a restaurant with the phone in ‘speaker’ mode. ugh. the ultimate dining experience. it actually got applause….shoney’s.
Reminds me of local comedian who when an audience member left the room, played an ongoing sound track of start/stop “water” flow. When the poor individual returned to his/her table, comedian would ask, “Did you hear us while you were in there?” After person answered, “No,” comedian would say, “Well, we heard you!”

Which one of the Naked Gun movies had a scene similar to this, only I believe with a courtroom involved?

Dale’s first chance to present his view on the subject and he pissed it all away.

But when it comes to motivational speakers, Dale’s a whiz.

looks like today’s strip was a tribute to Lieutenant Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielson) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fU0WEx4lrQ0&feature=related

Dale wondered why no one wanted to shake his hand or touch the podium.

When I was in a school play, I ALWAYS made sure my mike was turned off when I wasn’t using it in order to avoid situations like this.
