His parents need to take him down a homeless shelter and show how life is really. might change him, then again this is Cleam we are talking.

Comics are all about poking fun of various aspects of human nature. Greed is one aspect, so the writer is doing good to help us see greed and think about how unbecoming it is. Many times comics help us to see ourselves, too.

That’s a shame, since there’s been many times that Rose had been able to outwit Clem. She once filled the cookie jar with fruit and that’s all he got to have while he was there.

Clem is an easy character to foil, and the lad does provide a laugh or two. So do lighen up, this is a cartoon character.

Dreams such as this are clearly an attempt from his deeply supressed conscience to pierce through the imprisoning firewall that was constructed by his hoggish impulses, therefore an attempt to make him see the error of his ways…

…Or, maybe it’s because he hasn’t hogged anything in a while and this is simply a case of Hog Withdrawl.

Either way, I think he gets it from his mother.

I always loved this comic strip! The drawings and the people in it.
