Didn’t I see a trick shot similar to this on the old “Annie Oakley” TV show back in the day? Who says these great old programs weren’t educational?

I never could get into watermellon. The seeds had everything to do with it.

They did some testing on seedless vs. seeded watermelon and seeded watermelon was better tasting by far, much sweeter! So now I look for watermelon with seeds — not so easy to find.

Kind of like heirloom tomatoes. Much better tasting — and really pretty, too. IMO the more we try to “improve” on nature, the more like cardboard things taste.

Never could get into the “summer ham” thing (watermelon), but give me a nice ripe cantalope and I’ll show you a real trick. LOL (Especially with a dollop of vanilla ice cream on it. Cantalope sundae, yum)

I love cantelope, but I never tried ice cream on it. It kind of defeats the purpose of trying to eat something both good tasting and healthy.

Prickly pear is even better; the same basic flavor, but without the sickly sweet extreme. Just wear work gloves while harvesting and pealing.
