My wife and I “danced around” dating back in the 50s. We were part of a social group, but girls “didn’t ask guys out” in those days, and I lacked confidence to ask her out. Finally, an event came up that we both would be attending and I asked if she would go WITH me. She said “yes” and the rest is history.

I still don’t like Quill

Okay, everyone seems to be missing the “older” definition of tweaking here.“Making small adjustments” as in fine tuning when you’re trying to get good reception on a radio transmition. So Quill doesn’t want to actually “change the rules”, just make it so they can feel free to date—and Luann agrees. Fine tuning their relationship simply makes more sense~

kind of like changing Football to “futbol”(AKA in USA as Soccer), sounds same, but rules are different, so is a whole new set of rules
