B-B Eyes looks the part of “old-time gangster boss” in black suit, colorful striped shirt, matching pimp-hat, and with a cigarillo dangling from his mouth….
Cueball…didn’t they do a Dick Tracy B-movie in the 1940s with a villainnamed Cueball? If they did, and this was intentional, then it’s a cool tie-in. Maybe they could work in Gruesome, a villain in another DT B-movie who was played by none other than Boris Karloff…
It’s just a little odd that the MCS would have taken such an obvious risk as having Junior wear one of those wrist genies. The whole idea of undercover is to go in with NOTHING that would give you away as a policeman, and everybody and his brother knows that only the police have those “special watches”.
The Pouch used to sell balloons containing stolen gems. The storyline with him, Johnny Scorn, Mole, and Molene has always been my favorite. In it, Mr. Gould succeeded in getting four totally different personalities to work together.
B-B Eyes going to check with the Pouch!I really love the way Mike, Joe & Co. have been tying together characters and stories. It gives the feeling that this is a real city with a supporting cast that don’t just appear once and vanish. (Like the huge supporting cast populating Marvel Comics’ New York City.)
My guess is that Mr. Locher’s tendency for long, slow moving, repetitive stories caused the current restriction on story length. Now that the Powers That Be have seen the new team knows how to tell a story, let us hope those restrictions will be (deservedly) eliminated.

I wish Junior’s cover isn’t broken so soon.
Again we are moving along a little too fast. Let Junior’s cover to run for a week or two and let the suspense rise.Sisyphos over 13 years ago

A commenter yesterday thought Cueball was African-American. I didn’t thnk so then and I think it is clear today that he isn’t nor is his brother.

How did the criminal element find out about Diet Smith’s latest gizmo so fast? It’s not like he announced it a la Steve Jobs.
