    It is possible to buy edible cookie dough, for ten times the cost of dough you can bake. You can also make it yourself by heating your flour to sterilize it and not using eggs (or using pasteurized eggs). Or you could just not worry about it and eat some dough while you are baking.     I believe that it wasn’t all that long ago (not as far back as 2007) that people realized the problem was not the raw eggs, but the raw flour. You just don’t think of flour as being “raw”.
