You know, the previous circus series drew some intrigue from me earlier than this. Louise Trapez was killed fairly quickly. This is almost going on its third week of nothing.
I’ve noticed that, just like Ringo, Maestro appears to have horse’s legs on either side of his mouth and nose.
Locherinsider, is this story arc really entering its third week!? Odd how this strip distorts my sense of time; I feel like this story only began a few days ago…
You know, sometimes the first violin gets sick, e.g. with the flu, and the show still goes on with one of the other violinists who knows the part and has a violin. No one can tell the difference except the conductor and maybe a critic or two in the audience, though I doubt that’s even the case.
This is not an emergency. Certainly nothing to get fired over.
Also, I speak from ignorance, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to keep a treasured violin out in the cold for long, even kept inside its case. The wood would shrink and possibly even develop tiny cracks that would damage the sound quality.
A final caveat: we are all guessing about what has been stolen. Perhaps there is some really cool surprise waiting for us and we’ll all say, “Wow! What a fascinating plot. I was completely fooled.” Put probably not.
Isn’t it fun to see all the idiocy in this strip? I guess I have a latent compulsion to wonder if it can get any worse … and it does. I was a professional musician. Things NEVER went like that in real life. I am beginning to wonder what drugs Locher is on.
DT is not chocking his wife just the position of his hand makes him look like he is out of frustration because the concert is late starting.
Just like the commentators DT is bored as well.
wndrwrthg: I think it’s an optical illusion. You’re seeing his right eye and the right part of his forehead, and lower down it’s his right jowl. That’s what I see, anyway.
Try looking at it upside down with your right eye closed while whistling “This Old Man” in the key of C-sharp.

Just relax, Dick; it’s nothing to strangle me over!

I’m all choked up, Dick.

Must be a different minion behind the maestro. The first one was afraid of him…

Salvador Dalí’s melting watches would be jealous of the melting face of maestro in panel 3

This story arc started 13 days ago, I think my sense of time (like Flight Suit’s) is distorted too.
BTW is that DT’s official wrist thingy that he’s wearing? It tells the time too? Gosh!

But later in this epic, when Tracy could use it to speed things up, it will mysteriously vanish, like in the previous saga.

Wait, Dick Tracy still has a 2-Way Wrist Something-Or-Another?
Wow, that sure would have helped in the tiger cage. If the plot devices are inconsistent, not much point in following the story.
Now somebody will tell me I don’t understand and therefore comments don’t count.

“you’re on or your out”? Maestros aren’t at will employees who can be fired at a whim.

Ray C, I tried that and even tried closing both eyes, but it stills looks like his left side in profile, check out the structure of his mouth.
