Caulfield: You really want to hire me to get you through your song-writing lessons? Gym teacher: I just don't have talent. Caulfield: Okay. See how this looks. Gym teacher: Hey. I could do better than this! Caulfield: Good. That should do it for your confidence issues. Gym teacher: Because you sandbagged a few campy lines? Caulfield: Because that was Hank Williams.

Hey, good looking. What do you have cooking? How about cooking something up with me?

Caulfield should be capable of better poetry/songwriting than “There’s a tear in my beer, ‘cause I’m cryin’ for you dear…”. At least in the coach’s opinion.

As so often is the case, it’s not what you say, but how you say it. Or sing it.

Did you hear that lonesome whippoorwill
He sounds too blue to flyThe midnight train is whinning low,I’m so lonesome I coul cry.
I’ve never seen a night so longWhen time goes crawling by,The moon just hid behind a cloudTo hide its face and cry.
Did you ever see a robin cryWhen leaves begin to die. That meams he lost the will to live,I’m so lonesome I could die.
The silence of a falling starLights up a purple sky,And I wonder where you are,I’m so lonesom I could cry.
Hank Williams
