I’ve actually heard of poodles and other small dogs being carried away by eagles. A friend of mine actually witnessed “Fifi” being carried off in front of her owners.

We have nesting eagles flying over our house in Oregon shopping for a meal. We keep our cat in a netted area in the backyard when we let her out. I had falcons attack other birds in our yard as well. Ma Nature shows no mercy. Eat or be eaten. Where’s my spinach?
