I was showing you guys how I could just sit here and not type anything, but my gregarious nature took over. Now I’m typing something but I’m not SAYING anything. It makes sense if you think about it, but don’t do any thinking on MY account.
As a woman I don’t think I will ever get that. How can one think about nothing? I have so many things running through my brain at all times, even in my sleep. Doctor appointments, sports practices, rehearsals, work, housework, meetings, parent teacher conferences, bills and on and on and on
Before I was married, I trained myself to stop thinking and drop off to sleep as soon as I lay down at night. Now that I’m married, I have to stay conscious long enough to find out what she’s thinking about.
Concentrate on your breathing. You don’t really stop thinking, the brain/mind just gets quieter.
Did a lot of standing and sitting meditation during the Stanley Cup playoffs. It was the only way to stay focused and calm down after the games. (tai chi has come in handy in so many different ways)

It’s a guy thing. When nothing is happening,we just shut down the brain for a while……..It’s like a screensaver in our heads.
