Caulfield: That was nice of the bookstore to give us a discount. Frazz: It's nice of you to spend your own money to goose the school library. Caulfield: Eh. I had fun earning it. I'm having fun spending it. Frazz: I can relate. Caulfield: Or, I earned it being a smarty-pants and I'm spending it as one. Frazz: Like I said. Ah! There's "the gashlycrumb tinies"!

Ah, Frazz, where there’s never any conflict at all and everything goes as merrily as planned.

When my first grandchild came along, I bought the Gashlycrumb Tinies to read to her for her ABCs (and my second son bought his niece a copy, too).

Borders is liquidating their inventory. You can still pick up some great deals.

If you’re new to Gorey, I’d suggest picking up one of the “Amphigory” collections to start with. The individual books are wonderful, but putting together the entire Gorey Library one-by-one can get expensive (not to mention that, at any given time, any given book might not be in print).

n, “give it a goose,” v: “goose it,”If you poke it in the butt, hopes are, it’ll move quickly. With publicly funded sources of these archaic forms of communication, a good goose is the best way to make them move at all.
