first time i’ve had a “laugh out loud” moment on this strip in a while. lots of smiles and the occasional chuckle along the way, but laughs are priceless.
She got tired of Ellie telling her not to get her clothes dirty. No risk of that this way!.Like Dennis the Menace standing in the doorway completely covered in mud from head to toe. Mom tells him to take off his dirty clothes before he comes into the house, and he says, “I ain’t wearin’ any!”
This reminds me of my kids. Place we lived at a neighbor water their grass, water drains in on the curb by the street my son and daughter would play in the water there. My daughter figured out how to take her diaper off and not a stitch of clothes on my son her older brother no shoes or socks would run in the water. What fond memories.

Ah, to be that young again, and not care WHO sees what! That’s the beauty and innocence of childhood.

Love Michael in the last panel. I’m gonna put that look on my face today and make my fire company wonder what I’m up to.

Can I get away with the boots-and-umbrella thing, and just chalk it up to a ‘senior moment’ when the police arrive?
